What is the choreographic group?

Choreograpic Group

Are you ready to take your dancing to the next level? At the Golem Academy Choreographic Group in Basel, we explore different Cuban dance styles to create choreographies, refine technique, and prepare performances for shows, social events, and stage productions, mainly in Switzerland.

Each choreography is adapted to the group's composition, whether it involves couples, mixed groups, groups of women, or groups of men. We combine technique, musicality, coordination, and precision of movement to develop a unique stage presence.

It's not just about learning steps. It's about growing as a dancer, working as a team, and enjoying the creative process of developing and performing choreographies together.

Would you like to join the group?

If you have at least one year of salsa experience and are ready to commit to a choreographic project, we'd love to hear from you.

What level do I need to join?

A commitment to grow and perform together

To join the Golem Academy Choreographic Group, you don't need previous experience in all the Cuban dance styles we will explore. However, you must have at least one year of salsa dancing experience.

This foundation will allow us to progress through the choreographies and focus on essential aspects such as musicality, technique, coordination, precision of movement, and interpretation.

We are looking for people who are eager to learn, improve as dancers, work as a team, and commit to a shared project.

You don't need to master every style already. What matters is having a solid salsa foundation, motivation, and the consistency to grow with the group.

Joining the Golem Academy Choreographic Group requires a minimum commitment of one year.

Throughout this period, we will create, develop, and refine different choreographies, progressively improving our technique, musicality, precision of movement, and stage presence.

The continuity of every member is essential for the group to develop, maintain the quality of its choreographies, and prepare for performances.

Our goal is to bring the work developed in class to the stage through shows, social events, and performances, mainly in Switzerland.

This project is therefore not intended for those looking for a short-term activity lasting just a few weeks. It is for dancers who want to be part of a long-term learning and creative process.
