Are you ready to take your dancing to the next level?

At the Golem Academy Choreographic Group in Basel, we explore different Cuban dance styles to create choreographies, refine our technique and prepare performances for shows, social events and stage productions, mainly in Switzerland.

We work with a variety of Cuban dance styles, including Timba, Afro-Cuban, Son Cubano, Guaguancó, Columbia, Abakuá and fusion. Each choreography is adapted to the group's composition, whether it involves couples, mixed groups, groups of women or groups of men.

We combine technique, musicality, coordination and precision of movement to develop a distinctive stage presence and give every choreography its own personality.

It's not just about learning steps. It's about growing as a dancer, working as a team and enjoying the creative process of developing, rehearsing and performing choreographies together.

What Do We Work On in the Choreographic Group?

Technique and Movement Quality: Refine your execution of steps, posture and precision of movement.

Musicality and Interpretation: Learn to connect your movements with the music and express the different nuances of each style.

Coordination and Teamwork: Develop synchronisation, communication and connection among all group members.

Choreographic Creation: Work on sequences adapted to the group's composition and individual characteristics.

Stage Presence: Build confidence and expressiveness while preparing performances for shows and events.

You don't need previous experience in every Cuban dance style we explore, but you do need at least one year of salsa dancing experience and a genuine desire to learn, train and commit to a choreographic project.

Training sessions take place every Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Basel.

You don't need to come with a partner. If you already dance Cuban Salsa and want to continue growing as a dancer, learn something new and take on a new challenge, this project is for you!

### What Is Rueda de Casino?

Rueda de Casino is a fun, dynamic and highly social style of Cuban Salsa. Dancers form a circle, constantly change partners and follow the instructions of a caller who leads the rueda, combining different calls, figures and sequences.

It is a fantastic way to improve different aspects of your dancing:

* Technique: Refine your movements, figures and partner changes.

* Musicality: Learn to interpret the music and respond accurately to the calls.

* Teamwork: Develop coordination, communication and connection with the group.

* Stage Presence: Build confidence and learn how to perform in shows and live performances.

* Partner Connection: Improve your ability to adapt and communicate with different dance partners.
